An adult Regina male has been charged in relation to a Hit and Run Investigation into an incident that occurred earlier this week.
On Tuesday, August 26th, 2014, at approximately 5:46 pm, Regina police officers responded to a report of a 6 year-old boy being hit by a car at 1st Avenue and Athol Street. The suspect vehicle had fled the scene immediately after the accident. The 6 year-old boy was transported to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries which included a broken leg. That evening, police gathered evidence that led to the positive identification of the suspect. Tonight, officers have located the suspect and charged him in this incident.
Twenty-three year-old Nash Eugene COTE, DOB: 1990/09/04, of Regina, is charged with Hit and Run Causing Bodily Harm (Section 252(1.2) of the Criminal Code) and Breach of Probation (Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.) Mr. COTE will make his first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m., tomorrow, Friday, August 29th/2014.
