Three persons, a male and two females, all of Regina, will face a number of charges after the planned execution of a warrant at a house on the 400 block of Royal Street this morning (Thursday, February 19, 2015).
As the result of an ongoing investigation, the Regina Police Service obtained a warrant to search a house in the 400 block of Royal Street for firearms. At approximately 8:15 this morning (February 19, 2015), members of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team, Crisis Negotiators and Patrol assembled to execute the warrant and gain entry into the house. Two occupants of the house, a 23 year-old male and a 20 year-old female, exited the building and were taken into custody without incident. Another female, a 48 year-old woman was arrested at the scene shortly thereafter. A search of the premises yielded firearms, various ammunition, knives and other weapons.
Investigation into this matter is continuing and charges are anticipated. Details of the charges and individuals appearing in court will be released as soon as they are available.
