On March 16, 2015, police responded to a call at a business in North Central Regina. The complainant reported that two males entered the business and attempted to make suspicious transactions with a Pre-Paid Visa card. When the business clerk questioned the suspects they fled the store. The license plate number on the suspect’s vehicle belonged to a local Car Rental Agency. Approximately 3 hours later, police arrested one of the suspects when he returned to the rental agency with the vehicle.
Patrol and Commercial Crimes officers attended to a Regina Hotel where the suspect was staying while in Regina and arrested two other suspects, as they attempted to flee.
Police seized fraudulent Visa Credit Cards blanks, credit card readers and writers and other items which are typically used for the creation of fraudulent credit cards.
