A 20 year-old male faces charges after an incident last night, Monday, March 9th, 2015.
On March 9th, 2015 at approximately 9:10 p.m. police were dispatched to a parking lot on the 400 block of Albert Street North for a report of an assault and attempted theft of an automobile. It is alleged that a male suspect assaulted a male victim with a bladed weapon and caused damage to the victim’s vehicle. Police arrived and observed a male, carrying a bladed weapon, walking away from the vehicle. The male was arrested without incident and charged.
Twenty year-old Tyson William KAY, 1994/05/30, of Regina, is charged with Assault with a Weapon [267(A) CC], Mischief Under $5,000 [430(4) CC], Possession of a Weapon [88 C], Theft of a Motor Vehicle [333.1(1) CC], and two charges of Fail to Comply with Probation Order [733.1(1) CC]. KAY makes his first appearance in Provincial Court today, March 10th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m.
