The Regina Police has begun an investigation into a weapons offence that occurred today, Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the area of 12th Avenue and Halifax Streets.
Just before 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, police were dispatched, initially, to the 1800 block of Osler Street for a male who was the victim of an apparent assault with a weapon. The 29 year-old male victim was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as not life-threatening, pending further assessment and treatment. Investigation into the incident revealed that the incident had actually occurred in the area of 12th Avenue and Halifax Streets as the result of some type of altercation. At this early stage in the investigation, police are gathering information from people taken into custody, but it is not known at this time what roles they played in this event, if any. This investigation is ongoing.
