On Friday August 28, 2015, at 10:49 P.M. police responded to a convenience store robbery located in the 3200 block of Montague Street.
A lone male entered the store and demanded money and cigarettes. The suspect was carrying a knife and had his face covered.
After receiving his demands, the suspect ran Northbound in the lot where he fled in a waiting vehicle.
The vehicle was located a short time later by police resulting in the arrest of a 37 year-old male and a 14 year-old male, both from Regina.
The 37 year old male, Jerry Joseph PELLETIER, DOB: 1978-03-02, is charged with Armed Robbery, Section 343(D) C.C.; Possession of a schedule 2 substance, Section 4(5) CDSA, (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act); and Fail to comply with conditions of an Officer’s Undertaking, Section 145(5.1) C.C.
The 14 year old male cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The male youth is charged with Armed Robbery, Section 343(D) C.C.; and Disguise with Intent, Section 351(2) C.C.
Further investigation by police resulted in the 14 year old male facing additional criminal charges from previous incidents which occurred in Regina on August 21, 2015, and two from August 22, 2015. These charges are Armed Robbery (x3), Section 343(D) C.C. and Disguise with Intent (x3), Section 351(2) C.C.
Both will be appearing in court on Monday August 31, 2015 at 9:30 A.M.
