On September 24, 2015, at approximately 9:15 a.m., police were dispatched to the 0-99 block of Vaughn Street for the report of a motor vehicle collision. Police arrived on scene to discover a vehicle partially lodged into an apartment window.
The driver of the vehicle, a thirty-three year-old male, was attempting to make a northbound (left) turn, when the vehicle travelled eastbound across Vaughn Street, onto the sidewalk, knocking over a hydrant and continuing until it struck an apartment building. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and the apartment was unoccupied at the time of the incident.
The driver faces two charges under the Traffic Safety Act: Driving Without Due Care and Attention [213(1) TSA] and Driving as a Learner While Not Accompanied by a Qualified Driver [32.1(2) TSA].
