The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery of a deceased person on September 11, 2015.
On Friday, September 11, 2015, just before 3:00 p.m., police conducting a death investigation located a deceased person in a residence in the 900 block of Athol Street. Police and other emergency service providers attended and confirmed the discovery. The RPS Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Identification Unit, and uniformed members of the Community Services Division, as well as the Coroner, are investigating. In addition to securing the scene, first duties include determining the gender and identity of the deceased person and notifying next of kin.
