On October 24th, 2015, at approximately 1:40 a.m. police were dispatched to the area of Lorne Street and 8th Avenue for the report of a street robbery. Information was that a 29 year-old female had her purse stolen by two males, who sprayed her and a 33 year-old male with bear spray, then fled the scene.
At approximately 1:50 a.m. one of the suspects was spotted by police and apprehended in the area of Albert Street and 7th Avenue. A track of the area by canine led to a second male who was also arrested.
Two seventeen year-old Regina males, who will not be named under provisions in the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are charged with Armed Robbery [343(D) CC], Assault with Intent to Steal [343(C) CC], and Disguise with Intent [351(2) CC]. One of the males faces a charge of Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC]. Both males appeared in Provincial Youth Court today, October 26th, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. .m.
