Members of two Regina Police Service Emergency Service Teams were deployed yesterday, December 3, 2015, in the execution of two high-risk search warrants, as part of an ongoing investigation.
On the afternoon of Thursday, December 3, 2015, the Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT, as well as Crisis Negotiator teams were utilized in the execution of two high-risk search warrants. These took place at two houses: in the 800 block and the 900 block of Rae Street. They were carried out without incident. In each of the searches, a quantity of drugs and a long-barrelled firearm was recovered, as well as a quantity of ammunition. A number of people were taken into custody and investigation is continuing to determine what roles, if any, these individuals may have played.
It’s expected there will be further details as to charges as the investigation progresses. There are no other details for release at this time.
