At approximately 10:37am on December 11, 2015, police members were dispatched to the east alley of 4th Ave N and Osler St for a report of a male passed out in a vehicle.
A male, who appeared to be sleeping, was located in the vehicle. While investigating the incident, police found the male in possession of Canadian currency and drugs which were seized. Three firearms, drugs, drug paraphernalia, and Canadian currency were also located in the vehicle and seized. The male suspect was arrested without incident and subsequently charged.
Thirty year old Billy Joe SAMMY, DOB: 1985/05/21, was charged with twenty-one offences including: four charges of possession a of weapons dangerous (CC 88); possession of a prohibited weapon (CC 91(2)); possession of an imitation weapon (CC 88); possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition (CC 95(2)(A)); four charges of fail to comply with a recognizance (CC 145(3)); obstructing a police officer (CC129(A)); possession of proceeds of crime (CC 355(B)); three charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking ( CDSA 5(2)); possession of a scheduled substance (CDSA 4(1)); driving while disqualified (CT 259(4)); and three charges of possessing a firearm contrary to a prohibition order (CC 117.01(1)). SAMMY will be held for Provincial Court on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 9:30am.
