On January 30, 2016, at approximately 6:10 am police received a report from a witness observing a truck with boat trailer and boat being stolen from a residence on the 6000 block of Little Pine Loop. The witness followed the suspects to the outskirts of Regina where suspects left the truck and trailer behind, got into a car and left the scene.
Investigation led to the identity of the driver of the vehicle. At approximately 7:45 am police located the suspect vehicle at 5th Avenue and Angus Street. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over, however discontinued due to the high speeds of the suspect vehicle.
At approximately 8:20 am police again located the suspect vehicle parked at an address on the 0-99 block of Centennial Street, where two males were arrested, without incident and charged.
Police obtained a search warrant for the address and found numerous items from earlier break and enters.
Nineteen year-old Brandon PELLETIER (DOB: 05/09/1996), of Regina, is charged with:
- Theft Over $5,000 [334(A) CC] x 2
- Theft Under $5,000 [334(B) CC]
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 [355(B) CC] X 2
- Possession of Break In Instruments [351(1) CC]
- Mischief Under $5,000 [430(4) CC]
- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer [249.1(1) CC]
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle [249(1)(A) CC]
Twenty-one year-old David DINARDO (DOB: 07/06/1994), of Regina, is charged with:
- Theft Over $5,000 [334(A) CC]
- Theft Under $5,000 [334(B) CC]
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 [355(B) CC] X 2
- Possession of Break In Instruments [351(1) CC]
Both made their appearances in Provincial Court on these charges this morning, February 1, 2016 at 9:30.
