Members of the Regina Police Service executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of McDonald St at approximately 7:30pm on March 26, 2016. Three firearms and ammunition were located.
Forty-two year old Christina Genaille (DOB 1973/09/11) is charged with:
- Three charges of Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition 86(1)CC
- Three charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, 91(1)CC
- Two charges of Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
A seventeen year old youth, who cannot be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is facing the following charges:
- Three charges of Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition 86(1)CC
- Three charges of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, 91(1)CC
- Two charges of Possession of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon Obtained by Crime
The seventeen year old youth also faces a total of 19 charges of Mischief Under $5,000 [430(4) CC] after an investigation into recurring graffiti tags throughout the city, most of which occurred in the city’s Al Ritchie area.
The accused will make their first court appearance on these charges in court on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 9:30am.
