Members of two Regina Police Service Emergency Service Teams were deployed today, March 16, 2016, in the execution of a high-risk search warrant, as part of an ongoing investigation.
On the evening of Wednesday, March 16, 2016, the Special Weapons and Tactics, or SWAT, as well as Crisis Negotiator teams were utilized in the execution of a high-risk search warrant. This took place at a residence in the Uplands area of the city. The search warrant was carried out without incident. A number of people were taken into custody and numerous criminal charges are pending.
It’s expected there will be further details as to charges as the investigation progresses. There are no other details for release at this time.
