On June 11, 2016 at approximately 01:00 AM Police were dispatched to Diefenbaker Drive west of Pasqua St North for a report of a single vehicle accident. The vehicle had been traveling west on Diefenbaker Drive, failed to make the curve, left the roadway and crashed into a cement sound barrier wall. The driver was a 19-year-old male and the lone occupant of the vehicle. EMS attended the scene to confirm the driver was deceased due to injuries. Police along with the Office of the Coroner conducted an investigation of the scene.
The scene has been cleared with the assistance of RFD and traffic is moving freely.
At this point it is unknown what contributed to the accident however the Regina Police Service, with the assistance of the Office of the Chief Coroner, will continue to investigate the circumstances of this tragic collision.
