On Friday June 10th, 2016 at 12:39 am police were dispatched to the new Mosaic Stadium which is still under construction. Information received was that a person was inside the stadium causing damage. Police arrived and located a seventeen year-old male, who was found to be in breach of court-ordered dispositions, and was subsequently arrested and charged. The preliminary assessment of the damage caused exceeds $10,000.
The name of the accused will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He is charged with Break and Enter with Intent to Commit Mischief Over $5,000 [348(1)(A) CC], two charges of Assault a Peace Officer [270(1)(a) CC], Failure to Comply with Disposition [137 YCJA], and Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC].
The accused made his first appearance in Youth Court on these charges at 2:00 pm today, Friday, June 10, 2016.
