The Regina Police Service wishes to advise the public and members of the media of a training session for the Regina Police Service Underwater Investigation and Recovery Team, or UIRT, taking place today, Friday, June 17, 2016, at Wascana Lake. This is part of regularly scheduled training for this Police Emergency Services team carried out with the co-operation of the Wascana Centre Authority.
Members of the public will see police vehicles, including the UIRT truck, as well as members of the UIRT in dive equipment. The divers and crew members will be in and around the lake all day while they conduct their training.
