A Regina male is facing fourteen charges, including multiple drug trafficking charges, as the result of a suspicious persons call last night.
On Tuesday, July 5th, 2016, at approximately 8:47 p.m. a business on the 1400 block of Broad Street called in to report a suspicious person and possible trafficking of drugs. Officers attended to the male and located him in his parked vehicle. The suspect had search conditions and upon officers searching the suspect’s bag, the suspect fled. The suspect was located nearby by a K9 unit. Officers located and seized marihuana, cannabis resin, crystal methamphetamine, amphetamines, cocaine, psilocybin, and several pills. Also seized were scales, drug paraphernalia, and several cellular devices.
Thirty-one year-old Brett Joseph HOCHBAN, DOB: 1984/07/26, of Regina, is facing 14 charges:
- 3 charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking [Sec 145(3), CC];
- 5 charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance [Sec 4(1), CDSA];
- 5 charges of Possession of a Scheduled Substance for Purpose of Trafficking [Sec 5(2), CDSA];
- Resist Arrest [Sec 129(A), CC].
HOCHBAN made his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this afternoon (Wednesday, July 6, 2016) at 2:00 p.m.
