On September 5, 2016, at approximately 10:45 a.m. members of the Regina Police Service attended to 1731 E Ross Ave. in Regina after being dispatched there for a report of a male on top of a garbage truck. An individual at that location had observed a male on the truck and flagged down the driver to stop. When the truck was stopped, police were called to attend and assist the citizen.
Upon arrival police learned that the 44 year-old male accidentally ended up in the truck when a bin he was in, was dumped into the truck.
The man was safely taken off the truck and transported to hospital with minor lower body injuries.
The incident is no longer under investigation and is not considered to be a criminal matter.
