The Regina Police Service is asking for help from the public in its investigation of a weapons offence that occurred this morning, Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
This morning, at approximately 8:32 a.m., police were dispatched to a home in the 2700 block of Grant Road for a report that a firearm was discharged at a window of the residence. Upon arrival, police learned the event had actually occurred about 45 minutes earlier, around 7:47 a.m. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident. Because the event occurred in relatively close proximity to a school, School Board officials were notified about the incident. Police did not recover a firearm and there are currently no suspects in custody. The suspect descriptions provided indicate there may have been two male suspects, dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered. It’s also believed the suspects fled the scene in a light-coloured gold or silver truck.
This investigation is ongoing. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
