On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at approximately 7:52 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of North McDonald Street and Hodsman Road for a collision and rollover. Witnesses reported a grey Jeep had rolled and the occupants of the vehicle fled the scene. Investigation indicates the Jeep was southbound on McDonald, when it almost hit a semi, then struck another southbound vehicle before hitting a tree and rolling. Three occupants exited the Jeep and got into a blue car, which fled the scene. There have been no injuries associated to this incident so far, but the occupants of the Jeep have not been located. An area search by police did not locate the blue sedan. Investigators have determined the Jeep was earlier reported stolen out of Indian Head. This incident is still under investigation.
Also this morning, at approximately 8:48 a.m., police were dispatched to a business on the 1700 block of Prince of Wales Drive for the report of a motor vehicle incident. One person was arrested, but it is not known what charges, if any, will result. No other details are available at this time.
