A 22 year-old male is in hospital receiving treatment for an apparent gunshot wound that occurred earlier today: Monday October 3, 2016.
Just after six a.m. today, police were contacted by an unknown female caller who stated that someone had been shot at a residence in the 900 block of Argyle Street. Police went to the address given and found a 22 year-old male inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. EMS transported the male to hospital. The injured male was not able to give much information to the police at the time, but at this stage in the investigation, officers do not believe there is an elevated risk to the public from this event. A search of the house and immediate area did not recover any firearms. Police members have been speaking with other residents of the area to see if they observed or heard anything unusual. This incident is still under investigation.
