The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is now confirming that a death investigation, which began on October 11, 2016, is being treated as a homicide investigation.
This investigation began with the discovery, on October 11, 2016, of a deceased person in a burned residence located at 1555 McTavish Street. The Coroner and Major Crime investigators began the death investigation to determine the identity of the deceased as well as the circumstances of the person’s death. The deceased person was confirmed to be 31 year-old Ryan Daniel SUGAR, DOB: 1985-05-09, of Regina. The death of Ryan Daniel SUGAR is now being treated as a homicide.
Due to recent developments, Major Crime investigators have made significant progress in this investigation.
