A 21 year-old Regina male will be in court later this month on impaired driving charges relating to a Sunday morning collision in the city’s North West.
Police were dispatched shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016, to North Pasqua Street and Pasqua Gate East for a report of a two vehicle collision. Preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a black, Nissan Sentra was southbound on Pasqua Street and attempted to turn east on Pasqua Gate. The Sentra, which had three other passengers, collided with a northbound vehicle, which had the right of way at the intersection. The Sentra rolled near the median on the east side of the intersection and was on its roof when police and EMS arrived. The driver of the vehicle was cleared by EMS and arrested. One of the occupants of the Sentra was injured in the collision. Further investigation led to charges against the male. This driver was also issued a ticket for driving without a valid driver’s license.
Twenty-one year-old Drew Timothy CYR, DOB: 1995-02-03, of Regina, is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm and Driving with a Blood Alcohol level Exceeding .08.
