A 31 year-old Regina male is facing numerous charges, after his arrest for being Unlawfully at Large.
On December 12, 2016, Regina Police Service members began investigation to locate a 31 year-old male, who was the subject of Canada Wide Warrants for cutting off an electronic monitoring bracelet. There were allegations that the male was holding a 29 year-old female against her will, as well as observations that this male suspect was driving and in possession of knives, both contrary to court-ordered conditions. Regina Police Service members located the suspect in Moose Jaw at approximately 6:15 p.m. on December 12th. The adult female, who was alleged to be the victim of forcible confinement, indicated she had not been held against her will. There were two machetes located in the vehicle at the time of arrest.
Thirty-one year-old Jason Lloyd MORIN, DOB: 1985-11-07, of Regina is charged with:
– Mischief under $5,000, s. 430(4) CC;
– Three charges of Breach of Probation, s. 733.1(1) CC; and
– Four charges of Breach of Undertaking, s. 145(3) CC.
MORIN made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2016.
