On December 22nd, 2016, at approximately 2:48 p.m., police were dispatched to the 1900 block of 7th Avenue for the report of a motor vehicle accident. Information received was that a male ran across 7th Avenue and a westbound vehicle, who was unable to stop, struck the pedestrian, and swerved into a light standard on the north side of the street, knocking it down.
The pedestrian, a fifteen year-old male, was treated on scene by EMS with injuries described as minor. The driver, a twenty-eight year-old male, was not injured. There are no charges in this incident.
