On Monday, December 5th, 2016, at approximately 12:15 a.m., police observed a vehicle, reported stolen, on the 2600 block of 7th Avenue. Police pulled in behind the vehicle and activated emergency lights in an attempt at a traffic stop. The vehicle attempted to drive away but was unable due to the ice. The driver, a male, was extracted from the vehicle when the front passenger, a thirty year-old female, took the driver’s seat and also attempted to flee via the vehicle. The police member turned his attention to the female driver, extracting her from the vehicle, and the male fled. The rear passenger of the vehicle, a twenty-seven year-old female was also arrested and charged. Police continue investigation to locate the suspect male.
Thirty year-old Kristen Cara NAHNEPOWISK (DOB: 1986/06/13), of Regina, is charged with:
- Resist/obstruct a peace officer [CC 129(A)] x 3;
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
Twenty-seven year-old Roxanne GENAILLE (DOB: 1989/02/06), of Pelly, SK, is charged with:
- Failure to comply [CC 145(3)] x 2;
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [CC 355(B)];
Both accused were also the subjects of numerous warrants for arrest. Both accused are scheduled to appear on these charges on Monday, December 5, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
