Three Regina males are facing charges after a suspicious vehicle call was made on December 28th.

On Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at approximately 2:14 p.m. Regina Police received a call for a suspicious vehicle on the 3600 block of Green Marsh Crescent. The vehicle left the area when police came by. Another officer observed the vehicle shortly after on the 800 block Elphinstone Street and pulled the vehicle over.  The three males exited the vehicle without any incident into police custody. A firearm was found in the vehicle, as well as ammunition in the firearm and on one of the persons.

Nineteen-year-old Georges SALUMU (DOB: 1997/01/01) of Regina, was charged with:

  • Break Enter & Commit [Sec 348(1)(B), CC];
  • Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
  • Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle [Sec 94(1), CC];
  • Possession of Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon [Sec 96(1), CC];
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [Sec 91(1), CC];
  • Two charges of Robbery with Violence [Sec 343(A), CC].

 

Eighteen-year-old Ruben Charles JACOB (DOB: 1998/09/14) of Regina, was charged with:

  • Break Enter & Commit [Sec 348(1)(B), CC];
  • Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
  • Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle [Sec 94(1), CC];
  • Possession of Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon [Sec 96(1), CC];
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized [Sec 92(1), CC];
  • Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order [Sec 117.01(1), CC];
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking [Sec 145(3), CC];
  • Five charges of Fail to Comply with Disposition [Sec 137, YCJA];

 

Eighteen-year-old Skylar Frances Orion DESCHAMBAULT (DOB: 1998/06/27) of Regina, was charged with:

  • Break Enter & Commit [Sec 348(1)(B), CC];
  • Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition [Sec 86(1), CC];
  • Possession of a Weapon [Sec 88, CC];
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm in Motor Vehicle [Sec 94(1), CC];
  • Possession of Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon [Sec 96(1), CC];
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm [Sec 91(1), CC];

All three males made their first appearances on these charges in Provincial Court on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
