A male and female face charges after an incident on a residence on the 1400 block of Princess Street, involving RPS Emergency Services teams: Special Weapons and Tactics, Crisis Negotiators, Explosives Disposal and Canine, which was the subject of a previous news release.

After a thirty-four year-old male and twenty-six year-old female were taken into custody, a search warrant was obtained to search the premises. Among the items recovered in the search was a sawed off shotgun, ammunition, debit machines, and several debit and credit cards in names other than those of the residents.

Thirty-four year-old Jamie Dale MILLER (DOB: 1982/06/05), of Regina, is charged with:

  • Careless use of a firearm [86(1) CC];
  • Possession of a weapon [88 CC];
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon [95(1)(A) CC];
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [355(B) CC];
  • Possession of firearm contrary to prohibition order [117.01(1) CC];
  • Possession of ammunition contrary to prohibition order [117.01(1) CC];
  • Fail to comply with probation order [733.1(1) CC];
  • Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized [92(1) CC].

Twenty-six year-old Allyson Kristina BACHIU (DOB: 1990/04/08), of Regina, is charged with:

  • Careless use of a firearm [86(1) CC];
  • Possession of a weapon [88 CC];
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon [95(1)(A) CC];
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 [355(B) CC];
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon [91(2) CC];
  • Fail to comply with probation order [733.1(1) CC].

MILLER and BAICHU made their first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, January 20, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.
