The Regina Police Service is investigating a collision involving a pedestrian and a grader, which occurred this morning in the area of 5th Avenue and Athol Street. An adult male has been taken to hospital as a result.
Police were called to the area of 5th Avenue and Athol Street at 9:05 this morning (Monday, January 16, 2017) for a report of a collision involving a grader and a pedestrian. There were a number of snow-clearing vehicles in the area and preliminary investigation indicates a grader, believed to be moving at low-speed, struck a pedestrian. The victim is a 22 year-old male; he was taken to hospital by EMS. Police are holding the scene temporarily, as officers continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
The Regina Police Service is asking the public’s cooperation as traffic will be temporarily restricted in the area of 5th Avenue and Athol Street.
