A 24 year-old Regina male is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm as the result of investigation into an allegation of intimate partner violence directed at a 23 year-old female.
On Sunday, April 16, 2017, police were dispatched for a report of an assault alleged to have occurred earlier in the day at a residence in the 2200 block McTavish Street. The victim, a 23 year-old Regina woman, had sustained apparent injuries consistent with a physical assault. At the time of the initial contact with police, the whereabouts of the alleged suspect were unknown. Police gathered information for the investigation and made a number of attempts to contact and locate the suspect. On Tuesday, April 18th, this individual was taken into custody without incident. The male was charged in connection with the April 16th incident. Investigation is ongoing.
Twenty-four year-old Justin Jemar COX, DOB: 1992-12-09, of Regina, is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, section 267(b) CC. The accused was released on an Officer Undertaking to appear in Provincial Court on May 4, 2017, at 2:00 p.m.
