On Tuesday, June 13th, 2017, at approximately 7:12 p.m., police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Prince of Wales Drive for an attempted robbery and assault with a weapon. Police investigated and learned that two women, ages 68 and 57, were victims of an attempted robbery by a lone male. One of the women sustained minor injuries from falling on the pavement. When confronted by a male witness, the male suspect started to leave, then turned and sprayed the male witness in the face with a canister of bear spray.
The male suspect is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5’10” – 6’ tall, 160lbs, mid-length reddish hair, with reddish-blonde moustache, beard and a longer goatee, shorter on the side. The suspect was wearing a hat, a navy blue windbreaker, tan pants, black gloves, and was wearing black sunglasses, carrying a can of bear spray.
