On Monday, September 11, 2017, the Regina Police Service Drug Unit, supported by Community Services Division (Patrol), Traffic Services Unit and Canine conducted drug and public safety enforcement in the city of Regina.
As a result of a drug investigation, a traffic stop was conducted in the south end of the city. Two individuals were arrested at the time of the traffic stop. A subsequent search of the vehicle incident to the arrest of both occupants resulted in the seizure of Methamphetamine (over 1 kg.), Cocaine, Marihuana, Hydromorphone, Morphine and Canadian currency. A machete was also seized from inside the vehicle.
Thirty-two year-old Kent Ryan HEISE, DOB: 1985-02-24, and 29 year-old Megan Dawn CHEVRIER, DOB: 1988-02-16, both of Regina, are jointly charged for several offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Criminal Code of Canada.
Both individuals will make their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court at 2:00 p.m., September 12th, 2017.
