The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a death investigation after the discovery, this morning, of the body of a deceased male.
Police were dispatched at approximately 8:06 a.m., on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, to the 1000 block of Atkinson Street for a report of male who was lying outside a residence and did not appear to be breathing. Police and EMS attended and located an adult male, who was confirmed deceased. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units, as well as the Coroner. A number of investigative processes are underway, including identification of the deceased male and notification of his next of kin.
Police are working in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner to fully investigate and clarify the circumstances surrounding this death.
