The Regina Police Service, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, is conducting a homicide investigation after the discovery of a deceased male on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. This is the eighth homicide in Regina in 2017. Police do not believe this incident poses any elevated risk to the public.
On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, police were dispatched at approximately 8:06 a.m., to the 1000 block of Atkinson Street for a report of male, lying outside, who did not appear to be breathing. Police and EMS attended and located an adult male, who was confirmed deceased. Officers secured the immediate area and requested the additional resources of the Major Crimes and Forensic Identification units, as well as the Coroner.
Notification of the next of kin is complete. The deceased male has been identified as twenty-six year-old Kelvin Kim PASAP (DOB: 1991/07/15), of Regina.
