Two adult males and one adult female have been charged in a stolen auto incident that occurred on the morning of Monday, November 13, 2017.
On Monday, November 13, 2017, at approximately 1:34 a.m., officers observed a vehicle with a faulty signal light which also appeared to be a stolen vehicle reported on the previous evening. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle; however, the vehicle evaded police. Officers located the vehicle shortly after, abandoned, in the area of 19th Avenue and McKay Street. Canine officers tracked and located all three suspects, two of which were apprehended by a Police Service Dog, then taken to hospital for treatment. Inside the stolen vehicle, officers located a controlled substance (amphetamine), several sets of vehicle keys, break and enter tools, and a prohibited weapon. Police confirmed the vehicle as stolen, with a stolen license plate.
Twenty-three-year-old Rikki Jocelyn Beatrice BEAR (DOB:1994-08-17) of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [Sec 355(A), CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [Sec 355(B), CC];
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [Sec 733.1(1), CC];
- Flight While Pursued by Peace Officer [Sec 249.1(1), CC];
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance [Sec 5(1), CDSA].
Thirty-four-year-old Gregory Kent George GIBSON (DOB:1983-03-26) of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [Sec 355(A), CC];
- Three charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [Sec 355(B), CC];
- Four charges of Fail to Comply with Probation Order [Sec 733.1(1), CC];
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance [Sec 5(1), CDSA];
- Three charges of Theft Under $5000 [Sec 334(B), CC];
- Two charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking [Sec 145(3), CC];
- Theft of Motor Vehicle [Sec 333.1, CC];
- Use of a Forged Document [Sec 368(1)(A), CC];
- Forgery; Make False Document [Sec 366(1)(A), CC].
Twenty-five-year-old Gabriel Scott Louis BUSTA (DOB:1992-05-13) of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 [Sec 355(A), CC];
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 [Sec 355(B), CC];
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order [Sec 733.1(1), CC];
- Traffic in Scheduled Substance [Sec 5(1), CDSA];
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon [Sec 91(2), CC].
All three made their first court appearances on these charges in Provincial Court this morning, Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 9:30 a.m.
