On December 10, 2017, at approximately 12:00 am, at the intersection of 7th Avenue and McTavish Street, police observed a vehicle reported as stolen, and followed the vehicle to a house on the 1200 block of Pasqua Street. Two males and two females were detained at this house, where one of the females was found to be in possession of a knife. Investigation led to three of these individuals being charged.
Twenty-four year-old Keena Ocean Sherrisse AISAICAN-CHECKOSIS, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; and
- Possession of a weapon [CC 88].
Twenty-nine year-old Jordon Ivan CYR, of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; and
- Failure to comply [CC 355(A)].
A sixteen year-old female Regina youth, who will not be named in accordance with the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 [CC 355(A)]; and
- Fail to comply [YCJA 137].
CYR and AISAICAN-CHECKOSIS made their first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges, today, December 11, 2017, at 9:30 am. The youth also made her first appearance on these charges in Provincial Youth Court today, at 9:30 am.
