On Monday, January 15, 2018, at approximately 6:53 p.m., police were dispatched to an apartment in the 1700 block of Hamilton Street for the report of a weapons offence. Information received was that a male attempted to assault a female with a knife, and was inside the apartment preventing two adult females from leaving.
Police arrived and entered the apartment building, approached the door, and announced their presence. The male opened the door, and was arrested by police without incident. The knife was also recovered by police.
The two victims were found in the apartment building with no visible physical injuries. The 39 year-old male faces six charges.
Thirty-nine year-old Aaron Charles BALL, of Regina, is charged with:
- 2 x Assault [CC 266];
- 2 x Assault with a weapon [267(A)]; and
- 2 x Forcible confinement [CC 279(2)].
BALL made his first appearance in Provincial Court on these charges today, January 16, 2018, at 9:30 am.
