Members of the Regina Police Service responded to a collision this morning: Friday, January 19, 2018, at about 8:17 a.m., in the 1900 block of Truesdale Drive. A 43 year-old female and a two year-old child were taken to hospital as a result of this collision. A section of Truesdale Drive, from Ehman Bay to University Park Drive was closed for a few hours in order to allow investigators to gather evidence.
Preliminary investigation indicates a 43 year-old female, carrying a child, was crossing Truesdale Drive from the north side to the south side, when she was struck by a vehicle, westbound on Truesdale. The driver remained at the scene and rendered assistance to the pedestrian and child. EMS arrived and transported the female and child to hospital with undetermined injuries. Police have obtained measurements and other information from the scene and witnesses; the investigation is ongoing.
