A third person is now facing numerous charges of Attempt Murder in connection with a weapons offence that occurred at a residence in the 600 block of Montague Street in mid-November of last year.
In that incident, police were dispatched to a house in the 600 block Montague Street on Friday, November 17, 2017 at about 3:42 a.m. for a report of people seriously injured. The first victims located: two males and a female, were taken to hospital with numerous injuries, some consistent with an assault with a bladed weapon, others consistent with gunshot wounds. Officers cleared the house to ensure there were no other victims, or suspects, still in the house. The responding officers rendered emergency medical assistance to the victims until EMS took over their care. Other officers held the scene for the investigation and identified potential witnesses. A fourth victim, a male, was located a few hours later. Over the course of the investigation, police found three more victims, two males and a female, who’d been in the house at the time of the event, but who’d left before police and EMS arrived. The lengthy and complex investigation led to the arrests, in December, 2017, of two males. The 23 year-old male and a 17 year-old male youth made their initial court appearances in December on charges including several charges of Attempt Murder. Continued investigation led to the arrest, on March 10, 2018, of a third suspect: a 20 year-old male.
Twenty year-old Tyrone Lane EAGLE, of Regina, is charged with:
– Break and Enter and Commit Theft, section 348(1)(B) CC;
– Three charges (3) of Attempt to Commit Murder Using a Firearm, section 239(1)(A.1) CC; and
– Four charges (4) of Attempt to Commit Murder, section 239(1)(B).
EAGLE made his first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018.
