The Regina Police Service is asking for information from the public that may assist in the investigation of an armed robbery that occurred this morning.
Police were dispatched, at about 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 26th to a business in the 900 block of Arcola Avenue East. Information received in the call indicated the business had just been robbed by a male believed to have a firearm. The male had his face covered and, at this early stage in the investigation, there are limited details to describe the suspect. The suspect demanded, and received, cash from staff in the business. No one was physically injured in this robbery. The suspect was gone before police arrived at the scene but it’s believed the suspect was on a bicycle. An area check by police proved to be negative. At this time, police are gathering any available information that may help identify a suspect and indicate his direction of travel from the business.
Anyone who may have noted a male on a bicycle or any suspicious activity in the 900 block of Arcola Avenue East, is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS). Likewise, anyone or who may have information to assist police in this investigation, is encouraged to make contact. The Regina Police Service thanks the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.
