The Regina Police Service is asking the public for any information or observations that could help in an investigation into a robbery which occurred yesterday evening.
At approximately 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Elliot Street for a report of a robbery that had happened about 20 minutes earlier. Preliminary investigation indicates an adult male was standing in his garage when another male entered the garage from the alley. When the resident challenged the suspect, the suspect assaulted the victim, knocking him to the floor. At that point, a black car pulled up at the garage, in the alley. The vehicle is believed to have had a number of other occupants, one of whom exited the car and also came into the garage. One of the suspects took property belonging to the victim and then both suspects got into the vehicle which left the scene. The suspect vehicle is described only as a black car; the alley is the east alley of the 900 block of Elliot Street. The first suspect was described as a tall, thin male wearing a red shirt; there is little to describe the second suspect, except that he is believed to be a male. The victim sustained injuries requiring treatment in hospital.
Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist in this investigation to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
