On Thursday, April 12, 2018, at approximately 12:36 am, police were dispatched to a restaurant on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue East for the report of a robbery. A male, armed with a knife, entered the business and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled. No one was physically injured in this incident.
Later that morning, at approximately 5:20 am, police were dispatched to a business on the 100 block of Albert Street, for the report of a weapons offence. Police arrived on scene but the suspect had left. Police observed a male walking northbound on Albert Street, where he was arrested. A search of the suspect’s belongings revealed a knife. Investigation determined that the 37 year-old male was involved in both incidents, and he was arrested and charged.
Thirty-seven year-old Michael Wyman MCPHEE, of Regina, is charged with:
- Robbery [CC 344(1)(B)];
- 2 X Breach of undertaking [145(5.1)]; and
- Carry concealed weapon [CC 90].
MCPHEE appeared in Provincial Court on these charges today, Thursday, April 12, 2018, at 2:00 pm.
