A 24 year-old female is facing charges in connection with a stolen auto incident overnight.
On May 2, 2018, at about 6:18 p.m., the Regina Police Service received word that an individual had taken another person’s vehicle without consent. At about 7:02 p.m., officers spotted the vehicle, a 2000 blue Ford Mustang, in the area of 4th Avenue North and Albert Street, and made attempts to stop the car. The driver accelerated away from police. Police did not pursue, but the vehicle was spotted again, around 8:30 p.m. and followed to a residence on Froom Crescent. When the driver exited the vehicle, she was taken into custody without further incident. Investigation led to charges against the 24 year-old driver.
Twenty-four year-old Toni Lynn TOTO, of the Regina area, is charged with:
– Take Motor Vehicle without Consent of Owner [335 CC];
– Evade Police [249.1(1) CC];
– Breach of Undertaking [145(3) CC];and
– Drive While Disqualified [259(4) CC].
TOTO made her first court appearance on these charges in Provincial Court this morning (Thursday, May 3, 2018) at 9:30 a.m.
