The Regina Police Service is conducting an investigation into two separate street robberies this morning on and around 14th Avenue.
Police were dispatched to the 2200 block of 14th Avenue at approximately 12:50 a.m. today (Thursday, June 7, 2018) for a robbery. A lone male victim was approached by a lone male suspect who demanded the male victim turn over his shoes and personal belongings in his pockets. The suspect was holding onto a hand gun at the time of the robbery. The male victim was unharmed and not injured.
A second street robbery occurred in the park bordering 14th Avenue and Scarth Street at 1:17 am. In this incident, two male victims were sitting in the park when approached by two male suspects. The male suspects began a fist fight with the victims. During the fight, one of the suspects stole one of the victim’s runners, and at that point, the two male suspects fled the scene. The two victims were treated by EMS staff and their injuries were minor in nature.
It is unknown at this point if the two robbery incidents are related.
