Whether you’re going camping, taking a road trip, or just relaxing in the city this long weekend, the Regina Police Service would like to encourage motorists to exercise caution on the roads, both in the city and on the highway. We are reminding the public to practice safe driving habits such as obeying speed limits and construction zone restrictions, and being mindful of the increased holiday traffic on the highways. Pay full attention to the road: put away cell phones and other distractions that may divert your attention away from driving.
Another important safety tip is no drinking and driving. None. Zero. Zip. There are many other ways to get a ride home. Call a taxi, a friend, a family member, or a coworker. Keep yourself, other people, and the roads safe. If you drink, don’t drive.
Enjoy the holiday weekend and be safe!
