The Regina Police Service is investigating a firearm incident on Fines Drive in the east end of Regina.
On Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at approximately 10:00 p.m., police were dispatched to the 400 block of Fines Drive for a call for service involving an attempted car-jacking involving a firearm.
Reports indicate that a suspect vehicle approached a group of males who were in a parked vehicle on the 400 block of Fines Drive. Three suspects exited the suspect vehicle while brandishing a firearm and a knife. The suspects then approached the victims and demanded they turn over personal property and exit their vehicle. The suspects assaulted two of the victims physically before attempting to steal the one victim’s car. The suspects fled the scene after unsuccessfully trying to drive the victim’s car away.
The victims’ injuries were described as minor and not deemed life threatening.
