On Monday, October 22, 2018, at approximately 9:02 a.m., police were dispatched to the 200 block of Winnipeg Street North for the report of a robbery in progress.
Police arrived to find a 43 year-old male with injuries consistent with a bear-spray discharge. It was reported to police that the male had pulled over on 7th Ave N near Winnipeg Street when two people approached. One of the two suspects came up to the driver side and sprayed the driver, who ran from his car. The two suspects got into the victim’s car and drove away. The vehicle was later recovered on the 2300 block of Lindsay Street.
The first suspect is described as female, Indigenous, approximately 18-20 years of age, wearing black clothing. The victim was unable to give a description of the second suspect.
