A 22 year-old male is facing a charge of Attempted Murder after a shooting incident which occurred on Sunday, November 18th, in the 5200 block of Boswell Crescent.
This investigation began when officers were dispatched on November 18, 2018, at about 12:17 p.m., to a house in the 5200 block of Boswell Crescent, for a report of an injured adult female. The victim, a 48 year-old woman, sustained injuries consistent with a firearm discharge. She was taken to hospital, by EMS, with injuries described as non-life-threatening. A 22 year-old male was taken into custody at the scene. Investigation into this event has determined that this is a domestic-related event and appears to be confined to a single address. This incident does not pose an elevated risk to other residents of the area. The 22 year-old male has been charged and remanded; however, the accused’s name will not be made public at this time, as identifying him would serve to identify the victim as well.
A 22 year-old Regina male has been charged with Attempted Murder, Contrary to section 239(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.
