A fifty-one year-old male faces weapons charges after a warrant execution that occurred on Friday, November 23, 2018.
On Friday, November 23, 2018, at approximately 8:40 p.m., as the result of investigation by the Regina Police Service Street Gang Unit, police executed a search warrant at a residence on the 3400 block of Dewdney Avenue. Police entered the residence and arrested a 51 year-old male without incident. A search revealed quantities of substances believed to be heroin, morphine, and codeine, which were seized by police.
Fifty-one year-old Jeffrey Boyd BIRD of Regina, is charged with:
- Possession of a controlled substance (heroin) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of a controlled substance (morphine) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)];
- Possession of a controlled substance (codeine) for the purpose of trafficking [CDSA 5(2)]; and
- Breach of recognizance [CC 811].
BIRD was released on an officer recognizance and makes his first appearance on these charges in Provincial Court on Thursday, January 3, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.
